Another reason not to trust the authorities
In the back of my mind I've always suspected it. I wondered, "Am I really doing any good? Or am I just going through the motions?" But another part of my mind would always say: "but isn't it better to do something than to just passively wait for things to change?"
Well, it turns out that most "Push for Walk Signal" buttons (in New York anyway) have been disconnected for years. Baaa.
