Live, or something like it.
I was gonna post about how the Livejournal RSS feed is now working, but everyone reading this at this point already knows that.
Perhaps, instead, I'll sing the praises of the lovely .htaccess file and its delightful Redirect function, which allowed me to move sebbo.org's main page over to the new Blosxom-run one, while leaving all the old pages intact for direct links thereunto to continue working.
Look...this diary is gonna be really geeky for the next week or two. Techie stuff is what my attention has been on pretty constantly lately, and it's a nice safe topic while I'm figuring out how much I really want to talk about my life in public and on the record.
I suspect the main thing I'm gonna miss about LJ is the "friends only" posting option. I may still use it for that, actually. I've seen discussion of technologies that would allow similarly transparent authentication out here in the wild, but they're pretty pie-in-the-sky at this point. The sweet thing about LJ's friends stuff is the network effects you get from having over a million active users. Being an early adopter for anything of that sort is pretty useless except for showing off how ahead-of-the-curve you are.
